Update: Melinda Gates Allegedly Left Bill Because He Was Screwing Around With His Employees And Close Friends With Jeffery Epstein
Source - Bill Gates acknowledged through a spokeswoman that he had an extramarital affair with a Microsoft employee, which Microsoft said led its board to investigate the “intimate relationship” shortly before he resigned from the board last year.
It is not clear what role the investigation or the affair, which took place two decades ago, played in the decision the Microsoft co-founder and his wife, Melinda French Gates, made to divorce after 27 years of marriage.
“There was an affair almost 20 years ago which ended amicably,” Gates’s spokeswoman, Bridgitt Arnold, said in an emailed statement French Gates’s divorce lawyer, Robert Cohen, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Well, well, well, look what we have here. I should've known there was more to the story than an "amicable divorce." Why? Because there's no such thing as an amicable divorce- someone's always at fault and in this case, it's (allegedly) Bill. Here's what Microsoft spokesperson Frank Shaw had to say about the situation...
“Microsoft received a concern in the latter half of 2019 that Bill Gates sought to initiate an intimate relationship with a company employee in the year 2000,” Shaw said in an emailed statement. “A committee of the Board reviewed the concern, aided by an outside law firm to conduct a thorough investigation. Throughout the investigation, Microsoft provided extensive support to the employee who raised the concern.”
Gates had also apparently been trying to screw around with women outside of the firm, but that's not even the craziest part of this story. The craziest part, and the part that's starting to make more and more noise, is that Bill's "friendship" Epstien was allegedly a factor in them getting divorced. From The Daily Beast...
Melinda Gates was furious over Bill’s relationship with Epstein, and was put off by the creepy financier upon meeting him in September 2013, after the couple accepted an award at a New York City hotel. Melinda’s anger, people familiar with the matter said, eventually led to the demise of Bill and Epstein’s friendship.
You can read more about the Epstein/Gates friendship here, but long story short Bill used to go to Epstein's Upper East Side townhouse to "escape Melinda" which allegedly infuriated her. So much so that she hired divorce lawyers in 2019 after Bill's ties to Epstein were made public in 2019. Right now there's a lot of he said she said on the situation, but I guarantee this isn't the last time we hear about this part of story. Oh and the kids are also now on Melinda's side. Or at least they're going to be considering Melinda is trying to increase their inheritance…
I'll update this blog if anything notable happens, but chances are it'll be a few more weeks until we have more details. Regardless, things are not looking good for Bill.
