The Full WSOP Schedule Was Released And There Are Some AWESOME Tournaments I Cannot Wait To Play

I cannot fucking wait. Ever since I played my first Main Event in 2017, I decided I would never go a year without playing it again. It's just so special, the peak of the poker universe, and the thing I look forward to the most every year. Playing a regular WSOP tournament is great, a surreal feeling even if the entry is $1,000. But playing the $10k Main Event that I grew up watching on TV, it's indescribable. It was of course canceled last year due to COVID, but this fall the WSOP is back with 88 events, and I cannot fucking wait.

The highlights?

  • Oct. 1: $500 “The Reunion” w/ $5,000,000 GTD prize pool – In order to meet the hefty guarantee, the opening weekend must attract 10,000 participants. Players can choose from three starting flights on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - or play them all.

I will 100% be out there for this. If you are going to give me a $5M guaranteed tournament that I can afford, I will be there with bells on. And the best thing about this is they are saying the entire WSOP will be no holds barred. You don't pack 10,000 people (will likely get at least 15,000) and also worry about COVID. It'll be no masks and the RIO will be a zoo. Cannot wait.

  • Oct. 10: $1,000 Flip and Go Presented by GGPoker – The popular online format is galvanized into a live event. Each player will be all in preflop on the first hand, dealt three cards, and selecting two. One player will win the table and immediately fast forward into the money, where the tournament will then play out under a traditional structure.

Wait, do I have to fly back 10 days later to play this? I think I do. $1k, 1 hand? But if you win you're in the money? Sign me the fuckkkkk up. This tournament is so outrageous but so awesome, I don't want to miss it. Plus it's on my birthday, so I can't lose.

  • $250,000 Super High Roller, the largest non-charity event buy-in in WSOP history

After I win the previous 2 tournaments, I will be jumping in the the $250k. No gamble, no future! (Full schedule on Pokernews)

The Main Event starts November 4th and I cannot wait. I am counting down the days. I also am studying poker a bit, trying to actually get better to give myself a fighting chance.

On the new episode of Cracking Aces, Smitty and Mintz join the show and we talk about the future of Barstool Poker, how we got involved in the poker world, and some Main Event stories from the past.
