You literally can't script a more painful injury. This made the hit on Brady look like a walk in the park.

Charlie Weis Gets Same Injury as Brady
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis injured his left leg during the Michigan game when an Irish player was blocked into him during a punt return late in the second quarter...Weis, who was looking the 
other direction, never saw the hit coming and was knocked to the ground. Weis remained on the sideline on crutches with his leg in a wrap for the rest of the half.
The amazing thing about this was that Weis tore the ACL and the MCL in his left knee. The same week that Tom Brady tore the exact same ligaments. And Weis was coaching against Brady's alma mater. Brady tempted fate by not being placed on the injury report, and Weis tempeted fate by saying "To hell with Michigan." Now both are hurt. How weird is that? It's reminiscent of the year Stephen King wrote that book about Tom Gordon and they both ended up in the hospital. Unconnected incidents and things. It's like a lattice of coincidence that lays on top of everything. No explanation. No point in looking for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
Really though, what are the odds of the two people I care most about in this world getting the same freak injury in the same week? Next I expect to hear that Weis has a secretary named Lincoln and Brady has a secretary named Kennedy. And the final weird coincidence? The Pats rolled to victory and so did the Irish. When they both win championships this year, that's when things will get really eerie.

At the risk of being the only comment that actually talks about the picks, are you sure the Iowa/Iowa State line is right, Pres? I would have thought it would have been Iowa MINUS 13, not plus 13, which would make your picking the Cyclones a little more sensical.

It only takes 40 pounds of pressure to snap a knee from the side. The surprising thingh is that bit doesn't happem nore often in contact sport - knee strehgthening exrecises are a must when training.
