First Pitch Perfect: The Journey To The Majors (Step Two - Coaches Pitch)
So I posted this about 10 days ago, and they said it wasn't possible. They said I was crazy. They said there's no way that I would even be able to complete it, let alone get the Guardians to care about about it enough to allow me to throw a First Pitch....at a PLAYOFF GAME.
Until I threw one right down the dick at a Tee Ball game in Homewood....
I'll admit the original zero clap reception at the Tee Ball game was a bit awkward, but then we picked up some steam....
Take a listen to the ROAR of the crowd at the Naperville Coach Pitch Opening Day on Tuesday night....
If you don't like the call, take it up with the 14 year-old umpire that made it, not me. Shout out to the Catcher for the frame job though, and we move on. Which brings us to today. We officially have a graphic, and we saved a little room for a sponsor……
I am now looking for a Kid Pitch (11u-14u) baseball game to throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch at sometime next week.
Note: I am officially nervous about two things:
- Actually throwing a Strike now that we've moved up to real pitches
- Getting past High School and College before their seasons end, which is happening very soon
