We got ourselves an important, important moment this weekend. Alica Schmidt, a fan-favorite on the blog, is attempting to qualify for the Olympics. She's out in the Bahamas (where she woke up) and looking to be one of 14 relay teams to move on to Paris.

Look, if she says it's important then it's important. Don't know what else to tell you here. There are few moments in sports we all can come together as a group, join forces and cheer for one thing. This is one of those moments. Alica was screwed in the last Olympics.
It wasn't her fault! We can't let this stand. We need redemption, we need Alica Schmidt in Paris running a lap on the track. It's only right. I mean, she's been training her ass off, prep included.

She's traveled the world for competitions. She's put in the work, she's ready. We need her in the Olympics, it helps with content, just trust me on that one. We need her team to have a good run this time around and get silver, because it's still Team USA over everyone. I fucking love the Olympics. Give me all the sports and it's on the TV. Swimming, the Micahel Phelps years were electric. Track and field? Can't miss the 100m or really any of the sprints. Basketball, soccer, handball. But now I'm hoping to be completely locked in for the women's 4x400 relay.
