BREAKING NEWS: Sarah J Maas Is In The Woods....WRITING

MASSIVE, MASSIVE potential news coming out of the ACOTAR universe. After recently completing her thrid book in the Crescent City series and surprising fans at the midnight release, it looks like our girl SJM is adding more to the madness. HUZZAH!!!! Perhaps an Azriel origin story since we are in the north?? I don't want to throw out any other suggestions and inadvertently spoil the series, but all I know is that whatever it ends up being, I'll surely be locking myself in a room to read it all. As always.

For those who need a crash course, here are the movers and shakers in her repertoire right now:

ACOTAR - A Court Of Thorns And Roses (5 books)

Faeries, magic, war, sex. That's the jist of these books. They have about a million twists and turns and are all set in a traditional "fantasty" world without technology, etc. Most people find these first, myself included, and not since Harry Potter have I been as involved with a universe as I am with this one. Even more exciting, they all start tying together with the other series'…..

Crescent City (3 Books)

The newest of the bunch, Crescent City is a more futuristic series - incorporating the magic, history and war themes of ACOTAR but in a modern world. They have cell phones, humans/faeries/other types of magical people are all intertwined, it's set in a typical city setting for most of the series, and it's fun. I wil say, at this point in my journey it's become clear that they don't hold a candle to….

Throne Of Glass (8 books)

This is where I'm at currently. I'm doing the tandem read, books 5 and 6 at the same time (they take place on the same timeline and it's actually been very easy to switch back and forth.) I'm waiting to finish the entire series before I do a full book breakdown like I did for Harry Potter, but holy shit - I suggest this series to EVERYONE. Its extremely Game of Thrones, and magic/demons/blah blah do ultimately play a huge role, but it's way more gore, bloodline fighting and power struggles. I'm told it will eventually make the Crescent City series make more sense, but I'm not at that point yet.

After I finish Throne of Glass, I'll dig back into ACOTAR again and give it the same breakdown treatment. When I read them the first time not a lot of people cared about the series, but now that anyone with a brain is jumping on the bandwagon it feels like the right time. I know what you're thinking if you've even read this far, "Ugh Kelly STFU nobody cares about your dumb fucking books, we want boobs instead," and to that I say, YOU FOOL! There are PLENTY of boobs in this series!! The ACOTAR 5 are maybe some of the horniest books I've read to date. Blows 50 Shades out of the water. I urge you all to expand your minds and let in something a little different - and try to beat me before I put out my spoiler heavy rankings.
