The Madness Continues - A Full Breakdown Of Taylor Swift Week Day 3 (Tuesday)

Alright Swifties (and those in training, desperately trying to hang on...) - we're in the thick of it now. A few irrefutable things have happened, and the rest we have to remember is pumped full of theories, easter eggs, hearsay and wishful thinking. Picking right up off yesterday's blog...

Let's start off with the easy stuff. Our word search is still going strong, coming in HOT with "Post" hidden within lyrics of "Clean" from the 1989 album, released at 1pm yesterday. Previous releases were 2pm, and 3pm...counting down of course. So, today we get noon? Or today we get something massive? Or...nothing at all? Clean of course is on her "Acceptance" playlist, which is the first time we've gone out of order in this pattern of utilizing her Apple Music playlists. So far she has plucked songs from Denial, Bargaining, Anger and now have skipped past Depression and entered Acceptance...with lots of us guessing this next word is going to be "Mortem." Taylor has said before that her albums often feel like a public autopsy of her own life because they are so personal to her. It seems this one is no exception and she is heavily leaning into this metaphor. My personal guess - "Hereby Conduct This Post Mortem Meeting" lmao. Today, we wait for more.

Okay NEXT - THIS VIDEO. Holy shit. It's riddled with background info and extra information - The Midnights studio is inside of a psych ward (with crumpled up pieces of paper, lying there, to boot?) And so is the Tortured Poets Department? All of the clocks say 2pm, there are 2 typewriters, the doors are upside down? There are pictures of her in specific Surprise Song dresses up on a bulletin board, there's an inverse photo of Taylor and her cat Meredith....but the real star of the show is the fact we are getting a NEW MUSIC VIDEO on Friday 4/19 at 8pm. Let's fucking go. There are 14 tally marks beneath it, which could mean two things - the music video will be for track 14 (The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, GASP) OR, it'll be a video for Fortnight ft Post Malone. I very much believe it's going to be the latter (14 days is 2 weeks, which is a fortnight for those falling behind.) I'm fucking hype.

Okay. Deep breaths as we enter the mecca….The TTPD Pop Up at The Grove in LA.

I'm overwhelmed even trying to put all this into words because there is so much going on, and it appears to be ever changing. As we said yesterday, we had no idea what this pop up was going to show, or what was possibly going to happen. A partnership with Spotify, it seems to have taken the place of "easter egg factory." Every inch of it can be analyzed, and lucky for us, the Swifties on Twitter uncovered so much of it, so quickly. REMINDER: we have officially entered "guessing" territory, none of this is confirmed fact, but all of it has nearly direct references to her past albums and lyrics. Keep that in mind.

First semi hilarious thing, is the card catalog we see with 6 open drawers overflowing with cards, lace and flowers. SO many child Swifties think this is either a mailbox, or some kind of "morgue" symbolism and while they could be right, it makes all of us ancient Swifties feel like we belong in the ground. These poor kids have never been to a real library, smfh:

From there, we have a bit of Greek mythology sprinkled in (my favorite)….

And of course, we have NEW LYRICS….which changed in the middle of the day??? First lyrics reading "Even statues crumble if they're made to wait" (Just like our girl above, Diana of Ephesus)

And then the Spotify team went ahead and changed them, covering themselves up with umbrellas….

Into even MORE LYRICS. "One less temptress, one less dagger to sharpen." Holy shit, it's so fucking Joever.

The references continue on and it's almost unfathomable how many she was able to squeeze into this pop up. Here are most photos and explanations, and I'm sure somehow there are even more than this…

PHEW. Okay, that's as deep as I'm willing to go for now. Again, this pop up will be happening today and tomorrow as well, so I'm sure we will be getting more lyrics, discovering more clues, and going nuts. Huge shoutout to Taylor for making this so fun for the fans who are really into this kind of shit, instead of just blah blah blah'ing on a bunch of talk shows to appease the masses. Us capital F Freaks are the diehards, the ones who will spend their entire days refreshing Twitter for updates from similarly insane people. I can't wait for today.

Oh, and also today? Rebekah Harkness' birthday. You know, the famous Last Great American Dynasty diva. Holiday House sat quietly on that beach, free of women with madness, their men and bad habits…and then it was bought by TAYLOR.

One last thing and I hesitate to even include it…this could just be really good New Heights promo, or….could it be….Taylor on Facetime? No way, right? We'll have to check it out to be sure.

Keep your eyes peeled for a new episode of Taylor Watch out tomorrow morning, breaking down (what we hope will be) the ENTIRE week's worth of clues, events and easter eggs. IT'S ALMOST ALBUM DAY!!!!!
