It's A Movement...Starbucks Needs A Separate Iced Coffee Line
…
By FAR the most overwhelming response I got from the Pet Peeves blog yesterday – the Starbucks Iced Coffee system. The lack of prioritization for a simple cup of coffee with some ice cubes. The ridiculous first come, first serve policy despite the different degrees of difficulty on the various drinks. Apparently it’s far from just a Kmarko Pet Peeve, it’s a widespread national issue, and voices are rising up from coast to coast in an outcry. The people want their $5 iced coffee and they want it now. And the solution seems so obvious:
Listen Starbucks we already come to your establishments and deal with your diva baristas and listen to your Indie albums. We already contribute to your global domination and market monopoly and we’re all complicit in your take down of every mom and pop coffee shop in America. We put up with you adding breakfast sandwiches and hot food that slows the line down even more. The least you can do is fix the iced coffee situation. Because if I get stuck in the corner waiting 20 minutes again for you to flip a spigot on and fill a cup for 4 seconds because a girl ordered a Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino® Light Blended Coffee half-caf with whipped, I swear to God I’m going to take my business elsewhere. Probably just to a different Starbucks but still.
PS,
Yes I know you can order ahead of time on the app. A lot of people pointed that out. Have you guys never heard of principles before? Have you ever stood for anything in your life?
