The one and only Michael Rapaport made his first appearance on Mailtime last night to discuss anything and everything. We talked about life in NYC, celebrity basketball, hip hop, Kanye West, the Kardashian Curse, fantasy sports, politics, movies and much more. But when you get Rapaport going on the New York Knickerbockers, there’s just nothing like it. The highlight for me had to be when Mike compared life as a battered Knicks fan to a hypothetical gay couple – Lance and Terry – and their abusive relationship. Just completely off the rails with the details and the passion which is how you know life as a Knicks fan has just eaten away at Rapaport’s brain.

The rest of the interview was great. We talked about the state of hip hop now, Rapaport’s prolific career as a celebrity basketball star, life as an actor vs athlete vs rap star, Godzingis taking over the city, legalizing drugs and hookers, and a whole lot more.

Not that it should be any surprise because I think you can just tell this by the way he carries himself, but Mike was a really cool dude. Just a really nice, down to earth dude who’s lived a cool ass life is funny as shit. Hopefully this isnt the last you’ve seen of Rapaport because I just scratched the surface of things I wanna talk to him about. Next time I’m campaigning to get him to replace Spike Lee and we’re gonna talk about his best performance of all time – Agent Rappinport in Jay Z’s City Is Mine video.

You can catch Mike and his buddy Gerald Moody on their weekly show I Am Rapaort.
