Jordan Matthews, The Eagles Best WR By FAR, Is Apparently On The Trading Block

BGN – The Philadelphia Eagles are open to trading Jordan Matthews, according to a report from NFL insider Charles Robinson. This report from Robinson is one of many NFL free agency tweets he fired off on Sunday evening. He also notes the Eagles are open to dealing backup quarterback Chase Daniel, which we already heard last week.

I get it. In fact, I don’t necessarily hate it, either. Jordan Matthews, the tallest midget in this circus-cluster-fuck of a WR core, is a free agent after 2017. He’s going to get paid a pretty penny, even if his hands made of stone covered in butter hinder his outrageously average production. If the Eagles don’t have plans for him in the future and get a decent offer for him, why not? This team is FAR away from a half decent WR from a Super Bowl this season (which is why I will be livid if/when they give up the entire draft and a few kidneys for Brandon Cooks). As long as Carson Wentz is cool with his most valuable weapon pea-shooter leaving then whatever. But personally I can’t wait to see Jordan Matthews live up to his expectations and talent in another city. Why? Because that’s just the way it is in Philly. We’re not allowed to have nice things.

Sidenote: Why the FUCK do we hear about every little piece of rumor and gossip from the Eagles organization like it’s a goddamn middle school study hall? Good Lord does Howie Roseman love to hear himself think out loud in public. I hate to compare everything to the Patriots, but you’d think we’d like to somewhat mimic how a franchise who has won 2 of the last 3 Super Bowls runs their shit. Lord Belichik says NOTHING unless it’s strategically planned. Jamie Collins, Eric Row, Dion Lewis. All were moves that were made under the radar, seemingly spur of the moment that worked out swimmingly for the Pats. Meanwhile, every little tidbit and mousefart is leaked and broadcasted to the heavens. I’m all for somewhat transparency as a fan, but you know what else I’m all about? Fucking winning. And yes, that is a direct shot at GM Howie for getting himself off on the radio and interviews every chance he gets for airtime. Stop talking about it and start being about it for once in your life.
