According to My Research Eagle Fans Are Split On Whether They Should Bench Carson Wentz

So I put up this poll on twitter yesterday. Should the Eagles bench Carson Wentz in favor of Nick Foles. 55,000 people voted and the results were somewhat shocking. Eagle fans were split right down the middle on what they should do with him. Half the people wanted to bench the once promising star QB and half wanted to give him more time.

I guess it makes sense? I mean Nick Foles did lead the Eagles to a Superbowl victory and Carson Wentz can’t seem to get out of his own way. But this still this seems rash right? Just a few weeks ago Eagle fans were saying he was the future of the franchise. Now half the fanbase wants to give up on him already. It will be interesting to see what happens if the Eagles continue to struggle like they are now. If it were up to me I’d keep him as the starter, but that’s coming from a guy who has witnessed greatness for 20 years straight as opposed to one flash in the pan year. I know greatness takes patience and not over reacting on a week to week basis. I just don’t know if Eagle fans are smart enough to realize what they have yet. If this poll is any indication it appears they don’t. I know it’s early, but this type of QB controversy isn’t good sign for the defending champs. I hope they figure it out. I truly do.
