Manny Pacquiao Walked In On His Father Eating His Pet Dog When He Was 12, Wait What???
(Source) Manny Pacquiao ran away from home at the age of 12 … when he caught his father eating his pet dog … this according to his trainer Freddie Roach. Roach was talking to Yahoo! Sports about how the boxer’s family struggled with poverty in the Philippines when he was a child — and apparently, things were so tough … Manny’s father cooked the family dog for food.
When Manny realized what had happened, he ran away from home — and began to live on the streets. “He slept in a cardboard box. He fought his way through all this, turned pro at 14, and look at the man he is today,” Roach said. BTW — Manny has a new dog named Pacman … and NO ONE is allowed to eat it.
…
Hey guys, was your Dad hard on you growing up? Maybe didn’t say “I love you” often? Maybe didn’t hug you enough? Didn’t play catch with you in the backyard? Well good news, at least you didn’t come home from school one day to see your dad eating your PET DOG! Holy shit is that horrifying. Between this and all the domestic violence news that has come out about Floyd Mayweather (I honestly didn’t know the half of it because I’m an idiot) I can’t possibly be rooting for someone harder than I am rooting for Manny on Saturday night. A guy who watches his dog get eaten should never lose at anything ever again in his life. He should be like the Astronauts in Armageddon, no taxes, no laws, no nothing, you’ve been through enough, just go live your life in peace somewhere.
This also sort of explains Manny right? Like everyone thinks he’s weird because he believes he’s a legitimate singer and basketball player but when you throw it all together, he’s probably the most well adjusted guy to watch his childhood dog get eaten by his father on the planet.
