Ever Wonder What It’s Like To Get A Nut Ruptured By A Lacrosse Shot? Find Out From PLL’s Nick Ossello On This Week’s Episode Of The Crease Dive

ossello-TCD4

Nick Ossello is a professional lacrosse player who is currently with the San Diego Seals in the NLL. However, he’s not playing at the moment because he’s still rehabbing a pretty serious injury he sustained earlier in the year. “How serious”, you ask?

Well Nick Ossello suffered a ruptured testicle a few weeks back after taking a shot directly to the dick and nuts during a practice. Or as they would say in hockey, a lower body injury. But yeah. It’s pretty heckin’ serious. It’s one of those stories that makes you want to wear a cup around just during your ordinary, every day life. Going to work? Throw a cup on. Going to the grocery store? Make sure you’ve got that cup on. Grabbing a drink at happy hour with the boys? Not without a cup on you’re not.

So as long as you’re not aggressively squeamish, I suggest checking out that interview in this week’s episode of The Crease Dive because it’s a beauty.

And for the Android folk, you can listen to this week’s episode right here on SoundCloud:

The interview starts at about 25:30 in.

Now we didn’t just talk about testicles getting rocked by lacrosse shots. We also talked about Nick making the jump over to the PLL this summer where he’ll be playing with the Redwoods. As you can imagine, he takes his safety incredibly seriously these days and his team roster Bitmoji speaks volumes to that.

And then we also talk a little bit about his time at Notre Dame where he was a dual sport athlete (not a big deal), playing both lacrosse and football.

No disrespect or anything but Chris Hogan had to transfer to Monmouth to get himself on the football field. That’s an FCS school. Meanwhile, Nick Ossello was out here playing for one of the most historically dominant college football programs of all time. Am I saying that Chris Hogan is really just Nick Ossello Lite? Not exactly. But I’m not, not saying that either.

College Lacrosse Weekend Preview

Well the week in college lacrosse got off to an early start last night with Duke shit pumping Loyola 12-7. The score makes it seem a little closer than it was, and even a 5-goal game is an ass kicking. Duke was just flying around out there and burying their shots. Meanwhile, Loyola just seemed to be pressing a little too much offensively and couldn’t catch many breaks on the other end of the field. Here’s what I’ll say–Loyola is still one of the better teams in the nation and they have the ability to make it to Memorial Day Weekend. But for some reason, they just can’t show up to these mid-week top 10 matchups. We saw it against Towson last week and now with Duke last night.

As for the rest of the games this weekend, well it’s a pretty interesting lineup. Most of these schools are on spring break right now which means that a lot of these teams are traveling. Denver and Notre Dame are playing each other out in California. Penn State, Cornell, Towson and Jacksonville are all playing in Charlotte this weekend. There’s a Philly tournament going on between Drexel, Penn, St. Joe’s and Villanova. So it’s kind of a weird set up this weekend with a bunch of teams having Friday/Sunday games on the road. With that in mind, it really doesn’t make sense to try to break down the matchups here considering you never know what to expect in games like that. So we’ll just highlight the best games of the weekend here and hopefully throw some links up on how to watch them.

A Sunday afternoon 1 vs 2 matchup sounds like the greatest hangover cure the world has ever seen. So make sure to follow along all weekend to make sure your dumbass doesn’t miss any of the action.
