I'm Almost Positive Tiger Planned This Post-Round 69 Joke

Always a nice way to start the morning. Call me crazy but I think he planned that. I think he had it ready to go for his post-round interview. He was thinking about it the whole round cause he knew he was gonna be asked about what it was like getting stopped by the weather delay on Friday. He knew it was gonna be one of the first questions he got. I’ll go as far as to say he knew Friday afternoon that he was gonna say that late Saturday morning. He might’ve even slept on it. Laying in be last night he was probably like, “LOL my 3rd shot is from 69 yards out. For sure gonna drop a #nice on TV tomorrow if I make birdie there.” And he did. His delivery was flawless.

When Tiger became the 69th ranked player in the world I wrote this:

I wonder if Tiger saw that this morning and quietly whispered, “Nice” to himself. I bet he did. I bet that sand baggin son of a bitch did. It’s the stupidest running internet joke that has the most saying power of any running internet joke ever. “Nice” has outlasted them all. The Jordan Crying Face, What Are Those?, Damn Daniel, all of them. Nice is gonna be the thing this time period is known for once it’s all said and done. It’s gonna be the thing aliens find out about us 10 millions years from now. Humans loved war, bacon and saying “nice” any time the word 69 came up. That’s our legacy. So yeah, I bet Tiger said it this morning. No doubt in my mind.

I’ve convinced myself that Tiger gets a kick out of low brow humor because that’s what everyone says he’s like when the cameras aren’t around. He loves being one of the guys and making stupid jokes. 69 jokes definitely seem like something Tiger would enjoy.
