Tourist Poses On A Cliff For Instagram Until The Sea Decides To Swallow Her Whole
BALI – Dramatic footage has captured the horrifying moment a young tourist posing for photos at a scenic cliff in Bali was almost swept away by a huge wave. The young woman narrowly escaped death when she was almost swept out to sea by a wave at Devil’s Tear on the Indonesian island of Nusa Lembongan. With her arms outstretched to show off the breathtaking views of the powerful ocean behind her, what first appeared to be a perfect photo opportunity was abruptly cut short when a giant wave crashed into her and knocked her to the ground.
Straight to Davey Jones’ Locker, ye be! And that’s precociously what happens when you gotta do it for the Gram on the side of a cliff known as “Devil’s Tear”. If it were named something more holy like “Angel’s Den” or “God’s Taint”, then maybe it would be OK to dangle yourself out there for the dozens of likes. Anything coined around Lucifer by locals should probably be avoided at all costs. Or be swallowed whole by the sea. Still maybe worth it for her.
Take it from common sense: Mother Nature doesn’t play nice. Epecially with waves. Once second you’re having a fine time by the water, the next you’re Poseidon’s lunch. So be it.
