It's Insane That Anyone Could Be "Upset" That Adrian Peterson Is Inactive Today

I don’t even understand. It seems pretty reasonable for Peterson to be inactive. Guice is the starter. Thompson is the 3rd down back. Smallwood is the 3rd RB because he plays special teams. AP does not play special teams…so why would he be active. Peterson was brought in after Guice went down last year, and he filled in admirably. He’s not “owed” a roster spot THIS YEAR because of that. Guice is back, so now Peterson doesn’t have a spot. It’s the most football 101 thing of all time. I was shocked Peterson even made the team, there’s no real slot for him. It would be different if Guice wasn’t ready to play. That’s why Peterson got the 2 year deal. But if Guice is healthy, Peterson should be inactive. Anyone upset over this is insane.

I get that AP had 1,000 yards last year, they named him offensive MVP, blah blah blah. That was last year though. The Skins drafted Guice to start, he’s fully healthy, and now Peterson is without a role. Again, it seems so simple to me and I can’t believe anyone is shocked or outraged. It seems this is more or less just Skins fans bitching for the sake of bitching. Week 1 drama, as is tradition.
