I mean I can’t say it’s that surprising and I say that as someone who spent time in Philly and grew up not far from there. Bunch of scumbag fans in that city, especially Eagles fans. I mean look at that quote – and yes, I know Mike Scott isn’t an Eagles fan. If he was this wouldn’t have happened:

Really what this quote does though is sum up Rone’s ‘bang bang, Eagles gang’ videos on Twitter. Can’t even say it’s satire when it’s just factually correct how Philly is. Get in a massive brawl with a beloved player on one of your franchises before noon, catch the Birds at 1 and get some Wawa for dinner at 6.

I actually even got more respect for Mike Scott (for now – once basketball season starts, he’s an enemy again). Saying the dude was talking ‘hella shit’ just shows me even more he’s not to be trifled with.

And, yeah, this could have happened in any city, blah, blah, blah. The fact is only in Philadelphia has someone on their one of their own goddamn teams is getting in a brawl with fans over a football jersey. That’s what makes Philly, Philly. I fucking hate every sports franchise in that city. Too much of that city smells like trash and now this. Just change the goddamn city motto to ‘It’s Philly. We get in a brawl before noon and watch football.’
