Clemson and Florida State Are Exploring a Move to the SEC, as First Reported by Barstool Sports

All the talk around college football today is about Clemson and Florida State exploring a move to the new-look SEC. And rightfully so, as this would be the next gigantic move in this round of conference realignment that has already seen two of college football's biggest brands jump ship to the country's best league.

But everyone is acting like this is the first they've heard of this news, when anyone who follows Barstool Sports even a little bit had this scoop more than a week ago.

I must admit that when I first saw this from Jack, I was mildly skeptical. After all, regardless of the trustworthiness of Jack's source, this would be such a shocking development that anyone would struggle to believe it at first. But it sure looks right now like Jack was on what could end up being one of the biggest scoops in college football history if it all comes to fruition.

The fact that the lamestream media is refusing to credit my friend Jack is, quite frankly, repulsive and journalistically inept.

In terms of on the field if this were to happen, an 18-team SEC now featuring Texas, Oklahoma, Clemson and Florida State would fundamentally change collegiate athletics. I couldn't even venture a guess as to what the next moves would be from other schools and conferences because things would change so radically. College football would be a completely different concept from anything we've known before.

But there are very few people who can tell you with a straight face they have any idea how all this is going to play out right now. Everyone is scrambling. There are some massive dominoes out there that are going to fall and completely change the landscape of collegiate athletics.

All I know is that Clemson and FSU talking to the SEC has not been a scoop for more than a week. Credit Jack Mac and #ScoopCity.
