TEN Players on the Kansas City Royals Won't Be Allowed Into Toronto This Weekend Because They're Unvaccinated

TEN??!?!? It feels like a large percentage of the league got the shot by now with teams having at most 2-3 guys missing games in Canada this season. Well, here we have the Royals walking around town with 40% of their guys unvaccinated!

While ten guys is a ton, no one really cares about the Royals chances of winning so let's not pretend to worry about that. What matters here is the trade deadline and where some of these guys are heading. How is an AL team going to trade for one of these players in their right mind knowing that during a big series in Toronto they're unplayable?

Andrew Benintendi is almost certainly going to be on the move in the midst of a nice bounce back year, but where to now? Would the Yankees pull the trigger on a Benny trade knowing he's useless for Canada games? They've reportedly had talks with KC recently about a possible move, but unless he gets the shot how are they gonna go through with that? You can't risk trading for a dude and not having him for games in October up there. I would think Benny and Michael A. Taylor are off the table unless their situation changes. If they get a starting OF Cashman probably looks at Ian Happ over on the Cubs.

Of course in classic Bob Nightengale fashion he had to send this tweet out 12 minutes before the news broke.

Bob remains the best in the business. He is inevitable.

P.S. The Blue Jays should have a near perfect record at home with this kind of advantage yet they only stand 26-18. It's solid, but with opponent's missing guys almost every series you'd think that mark would be dominant. No wonder they moved on from their manager.
