The Carolina Hurricanes Better Give The People What They Want--A Push Up Contest Between Brent Burns And Rod Brind'Amour
The Carolina Hurricanes did pretty well for themselves this past week. The team has lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs in each of the past 2 seasons, and clearly they could use a little more veteran presence in the locker room to help lead these boys to the next step. So instead of looking at free agency, they went out and made trades to bring in Max Pacioretty and Brent Burns.
Now anybody who knows anything about Brent Burns knows that he's a well-established enjoyer of going tarps off. When it was Burnzie and Joe Thornton together in San Jose, I have to imagine the only time the boys had some sort of shirt on their back was when they were playing a game. But now that Brent Burns is heading to a new locker room with Rod The Bod patrolling the scene?

Well I wouldn't expect him to be popping off that top anytime soon. Always tough when the 51-year-old is more shredded than you. Granted, the entire Hurricanes organization has to deal with the same issue here. But it's just going to hit Brent Burns a little harder the first time The Bod walks into the locker room.
But if the Carolina Hurricanes actually give a shit about the fans out there, we'll get that push up competition between Burnzie and Brind'Amour. Tarps off, grease the boys up, and let 'em rip.
