UNC QB Drake Maye Allegedly Has Not One But Two 5 MILLION DOLLAR Offers To Transfer

The man threw for 4,115 yards with 35 TDs with 7 INTs AND he added a solid 715 yards with 7 TDs on the ground. What coach would not want a dual threat like him at QB in modern college football?!?! And he was only a FRESHMAN!
With OC Phil Longo leaving for Wisconsin, the rumor is Maye has two 5 MILLION DOLLAR offers floating around.
So who are those two schools? I have no concrete info but that will not stop me from taking a couple wild guesses.
1) Alabama
Bryce Young is departing for the NFL Draft and will be a top 5 pick. The freshman backup QB Jalen Milroe did not exactly light it up in a narrow win over Texas A&M. He shows good athleticism but ball security and passing were both issues. Maye would slide right in as Bama's QB under OC Bill O'Brien (good QB developer) to lead their quest at a 2023 National Title. Money also ain't a thing in Tuscaloosa.
2) Georgia
With Stetson Bennett finally leaving UGA after losing ONE FREAKING GAME in his career, Maye would make quite the fine replacement. Georgia also has talented young guys vying for the position but Kirby Smart is not an idiot. How could he not try to make a move on Maye? And like Tuscaloosa, money also ain't a thing in Athens.
I reiterate both of these schools are merely guesses by me and I know nothing concrete. But it is quite a shame for UNC to find an all world QB whose brother was a national champion in basketball and still have a hard time holding onto him. It is a new world in the NIL era of college football.
Some Other QB transfer news.
The top QB in the portal Devin Leary is leaving NC State to go to Kentucky. MASSIVE get for Mark Stoops and Big Blue. Leary has a big arm and can push the ball down the field. NC State had a shot at a historic season before Leary went down with injury. He also has a ton of experience and is a solid leader.
Graham Mertz is transferring from Wisconsin to Florida. Gator fans cannot be thrilled to go from Anthony Richardson to Mertz who struggled as a Badger after coming out of high school as a 5 star recruit. I thought Billy Napier was a good hire and it is still early. But the jury is still out for sure.
Former Florida and Arizona St QB Emory Jones is headed to Cincy to play for Scott Satterfield. Hard to get excited about that move.
There are a lot of rumors that Coastal Carolina Star QB Grayson McCall could be joining Hugh Freeze at Auburn. He is easily the top QB left in the portal and would be a fascinating fit in Freeze's offense. McCall won a ton of games at Coastal in Jamey Chadwell's spread option offense. Incumbent QB Robby Ashford could run some but left a lot to be desired in the passing game.
