CAITLIN CLARK IS A GOD AND IOWA IS HEADED TO THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

Stud. Legend. Beast. Baller. God. Goddess. GOAT. Her. All of those things. She was SPECTACULAR in the biggest game of her life against the hardest opponent she's ever faced. 41 points in a Final Four game against a South Carolina that hadn't lost in *checks notes* 42 games!!!!!! The Iowa Hawkeyes were 12 point underdogs tonight and they WON. This squad has a real Team of Destiny feel and it all starts with the most exciting basketball player in all of college basketball, Caitlin Clark. The best thing about Clark (outside of her ability to shoot the ball from North Liberty and drain it, a little local humor there) is that she wants it. She wants the big moments. She wants the ball in her hands when the game is on the line. She doesn't shy away from the things that often times makes mere mortals cower and shit their pants. She wants all of it and she usually rises to the occasion.

I'm almost out of breath and it's not just because I'm a fat piece of shit. It's because that is one of the more exhilarating Iowa games I've watched in recent memory. It was a game that was ultra-hyped up because of the match up and it being the Final Four and the Caitlin Clark Effect and then it EXCEEDED every expectation and the Iowa Hawkeyes came away victorious. We're not really used to those types of games anymore. We're used to heart break or just flat out mediocrity. Normally we have a football team that can't score more than 4 points and a men's basketball team that can't get out of the first round. Lisa Bluder and her squad have given us something VERY VERY VERY special here.
