That's just a good old fashioned social media beat down right there. Topical with a call back to a super cringey moment where Russ was working out in the aisles of the plane trying to show us all just how darn hard he's trying. This is peak internet trolling. Well done Cardinals' social media team.

The funniest part about this whole thing is that Russ looked pretty damn bad against the Cardinals' starters last night too. He hadn't played in a preseason game since 2019 but with Sean Peyton coming to town they felt maybe they need to try hit him with a preseason defibrillator and resuscitate his career. After all, he won't be going against ALL the starters and everyone is playing pretty vanilla defense. How many things could possibly go wrong for him in a glorified practice?

In the first quarter he went 2-5 for 33 yards with zero points scored, a three-and-out, and took a 7-yard sack. That's not a great start for a guy who is on a $242 Million contract and looked like he forgot how to play the game of football last season.

Now to be fair, he played better once the backups came in. But what does that really say about him? He just needed to warm up? Or he's the same skill level as guys who will be fighting for time on the punt team? And let's also remember the Cardinals are going to be pretty bad this year in real football games, let alone an exhibition.

Broncos fans and the team will spin it as 5-8 with this touchdown pass to Jerry Jeudy is a great jumping off point for the season.

I choose to spin it as Russ got bitch slapped by some of the Cardinals' starting defense and then by the entire social media team. Just a tough tough scene for Future's babysitter.
