Rock, Flag And Eagle - LeBron, KD And Steph Curry All Plan To Play In The Olympics, Remind The World We'll Kick Their Ass In Basketball When We Want

[Source] - LeBron James, a three-time Olympian, two-time gold medalist, and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, has so strong an interest in one more Olympics that he is ready to commit for next summer, and has also called multiple stars to essentially recruit them to join him with USAB in Paris, multiple league sources told The Athletic.

James has spoken to Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Jayson Tatum and Draymond Green, and they are all prepared to commit as well. Separately, Phoenix’s Devin Booker, Portland’s Damian Lillard, Sacramento’s De’Aaron Fox and Dallas’ Kyrie Irving also have serious interest in committing, league sources said.

Finally. This needs to happen because we need to get back to kicking people's ass in basketball. No more losing at the World Cup - a tournament where we typically send our young guys. No more sweating out games at the Olympics, even if other countries are getting better. Just get our best guys and go beat the shit out of everyone, the American way. That said, get Kyrie out of here. Dude was just bitching about playing for Team USA. No thank you.

I know they are talking about this being the final one for a lot of these guys, but it needs to happen. We never had Steph play at the Olympics. Might as well add Kawhi to that too. Or you know what, go get Carmelo as the 12th guy. He's awesome at the Olympics and we only lose in 2004 when he's there and Larry Brown doesn't play the kids.

In all honesty, this is what the Olympic team should be. Every other country there are guys who play in the NBA and would do anything to play for their country. We see it across the world and that helps those teams help close the gap to us. There was a time where playing in the Olympics was massive and we had the Redeem Team and all that. Those made the Olympics awesome because we got to see our best against the world. That's what I want to see again.
