Update: The Teacher Suspended for Having an OnlyFans Account Has Resigned to Focus on Her Art

If you're not familiar with the matter of the Missouri teacher known to her students as Brianna Coppage, and to her OnlyFans subscribers as BrooklinLoveXXX, here's a brief recap:

And we have an update. Brianna Coppage's suspension from her job teaching high school English in the St. Clair, Missouri school district is officially over. Not because she was reinstated. Because she has resigned, in order to pursue her OnlyFans career full time:

The 28-year-old teacher at St. Clair High School, Brianna Coppage, tendered her resignation, and she has “decided to move forward in a different direction,” Superintendent Kyle Kruse said in a statement. She was not asked to resign, he said.

Attempts to reach Coppage by the Post-Dispatch were not immediately successful. Her story gained global readership after being picked up by news outlets in the United Kingdom, Australia, India, Singapore and elsewhere.

Because people from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds can relate to someone who is playing by the rules and still struggling to get by. That is a universal theme. But it's more than that. Hers is also a story of triumph. Of the limitless opportunities available in a free market economy. Of what you can accomplish if you believe in yourself and work hard enough.

What's more, it's an epic tale about the indomitable human spirit. How all that student loan debt didn't discourage Brianna. It encouraged her. Instead of giving up, she created the BrooklinLoveXXX alter ego in the same way Wonder Woman became Diana Prince. And in her, found a way to make the world a more beautiful place by performing sex acts on the internet for paid subscribers. And now that she's thrown off the shackles of her $42,000 a year day job, she can dedicate herself to creating more and better pornographic content for her growing legion of admirers. It's glorious.

By no means should this be taken as me disparaging education or the important role of teachers. On the contrary. The work they do, teaching language, math, science, social studies, are vital. Necessary in our lives. But art is what makes those lives worth living. Whatever the discipline. Music, drama, film, painting, photography. What Brooklin Love brings to the world is having sex on camera. And while it's regrettable the students at her former school have lost skills teaching English, that's the sort of tradeoff we sometimes have to make in order for the world to become a better place. In the same way a Swiss patent office lost a clerk, but humanity gained Einstein. 

So here's wishing Ms. Coppage all the best in her new full time career being Brooklin Love. Everything has worked out for the best.
