10-1. The Philadelphia Eagles are still the best team in the NFL and officially clinched a playoff spot. And it wasn't easy. Nope. The Linc was 44 degrees and raining. Ew. Ew to the max. Yet the greatest fanbase in the world packed the house and tailgated their dicks dry in the rain...only to watch this team come out and have the worst first half of the season.
And yet the 2nd half they returned to the most talented, greatest team in the National Football League. This team finds the most impossibly painful ways to win football games. And maybe that's a good thing? I think? Hey - A win is a win, but when you perform like that in the first half at home, it's not ideal for business. Even with the great 2nd half the Eagles probably didn't deserve to win that game. No Lane Johnson. Beyond shitshow start. Bass shanking FG's. Refs were on the payroll.

This team is the best in the NFL when it wants to play/coach well. Big time emphasis on the COACH well part. It actually wouldn't have surprised me if Brian Johnson was fired at halftime or the very least Sirianni called the plays in the 2nd half. Seriously. In the first half (and all year) it seems Brian Johnson thinks the QB Draw and WR Screen to 2023 Julio Jones are Madden Cheat Codes in real life. Only explanation besides complete ineptitude. Also, NO D'ANDRE SWIFT IN THE FIRST HALF?!?!?!? WHAT THE HELL MAN?!!?!?
BUT - He figured it out. And kudos to Mr. Johnson for doing so. It helps when you have the best QB/Human in the world at your disposal. The fact Jalen Hurts can have a first half like this:

Before wrapping it up with another rushing TD in OT means he's the true, blue MVP of the league. Again. Just has to stay healthy.
In other news - Jake Elliot, man. Just retire his number already as well as a few digits around it. Sorry Donovan, #5 is out. After Jake's career is finished he might actually be an all-time great kicker from any team.
