MLB Held Their "All-MLB" Awards Last Night And Not A Single Person Knew It Was Going On

What the hell is this? We're single digit days away from Christmas and MLB is still doing awards? Way to stay relevant! Leave it to Mr. Manfred to schedule something called the "All-MLB" Awards on a Saturday with a great slate of college basketball, 3 NFL games, and some Bowl games on. Not to mention it's fucking DECEMBER. I guess MLB has been giving out "All-MLB" team awards since 2019 but I can't ever remember them doing this award show type thing. I mean we have entrance pictures and everything. The Orioles had 3 players in attendance and I didn't even know it was a thing. Why is it a thing? Why are they doing it in the middle of fucking December? MLB, way to stay hot baby!

They announced their first and second teams and I guess congrats to the players who got chosen. Are these going to be talked about when it comes time for HOF voting? Do contracts have "All-MLB Team" incentives? Or is this just MLB trying to be like the NFL and have an award show? I just can't think of why anyone thought this is needed? I'm sure it's a big sponsored event with some sick parties and stuff so it's probably awesome for the players to go out there. But why is this show a thing? Are we going to start referring to guys by if they made an "All-MLB" team or not?

But the funniest part was that no one even knew it was going on! Randomly we started seeing pictures of MLB guys at this award show and then boom, they're naming guys to some random first and second team. Why on a Saturday night like a month and a half after the World Series? Midas whale do it in the middle of NFL Wild Card Weekend. MLB can't get out of their own way, just tripping over themselves. Do the awards, who cares, they have a billion of these random awards now. But be better at advertising it? Shocked that baseball has an issue with showing off its best players. Shocked. Can't wait to watch whatever award show they randomly decide to throw on TV at 9:30 PM on Christmas Eve. MLB man, can't make this stuff up.
