Someone Put This Kid On The Naughty List
Listen. I love fighting in hockey. I think it's a beautiful thing, and I think the world would be a better place if more people conducted themselves with the same code of honor that hockey enforcers do. If someone steps out of line and deserves to get punched in the face, they get punched in the face. No ganging up on people, no weaponry or anything, just a quick punch to the face and the situation resolves itself. 95% of the world's issues could be resolved that way.
But this? Well I'm pretty sure this is just aggravated assault. Actually, I'm almost certain this is aggravated assault. Obviously there are two sides to every story, and we don't see anything that happened before this video started which could have led to it. But ripping a dude's helmet off and just teeing off on his skull while he lays on the ice should probably result in you spending more time with a lawyer over the next few weeks than a hockey coach.

Fortunately for him, it looks like the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League doesn't really have much of a book to throw at players. So a 4-game suspension it is. Watching the next 4 games from the stands sure beats the hell out of getting hit with a felony charge.
