Deshaun Watson's Shoulder Is Doing Great And He Will For Sure Be Ready For Week 1. Source: Deshaun Watson

Nope, not fooling me. I've heard this one before, straight from the horses mouth, and he still didn't play.

So no, you cannot trust Deshaun Watson to update the injury status of Deshaun Watson. So I hate to say it, but I'm not trusting that he'll be on the field in Week  until he's medically cleared to do so. Wait, even that doesn't mean he'll play....

I'm trying to be positive with this guy, but the fact of the matter is that since we've mortgaged our entire future for him (and given the Texans organization the best future in the league), he has:

2021: Only played 6 games due to suspension

2022: Only played 6 games due to injury

And hasn't even been very good when he does play. So I'm trying to temper my expectations for him this year, even though I'll never get it out of my mind that we got the 2020 league passing leader in what should be the prime of his career. Like, what if he was just……back?

The weapons the Browns are trotting out this year with Nick Chubb, Jerry Jeudy, Amari Cooper, Elijah Moore, David Njoku, and our offensive line is literally 10000x better than what he had to work with in 2020 with the Texans when they had David Johnson, Brandin Cooks, Will Fullerl, Randall Cobb, and Darren Fells. That tells me if he can stay healthy, He SHOULD be great. Why can't he be….?

Okay, I'm getting ahead of myself again. I can't wait for a mediocre 6 games of Deshaun Watson for the third straight season.
