Woman Wears Massive Emoji Mask To Hide Her Identity While Cashing In Her $180 Million Lottery Ticket

Source - Winning the lottery must be exhilarating – but the fear of getting robbed after that, not so much. Perhaps that is why when this Jamaican citizen hit a multi-million lottery jackpot, she found the best way to conceal her identity. N Gray, who won 180 million Jamaican dollars as part of the Super Lotto jackpot on May 11, yesterday collected her cheque wearing a brilliant disguise – an emoji mask.

Ms Gray has won over 1 million USD thanks to the Super Lotto lottery.

“I am elated, because I was drowning in debt. I started buying Super Lotto in January… Now I’ve won, I want to clear my debt, invest, and I want to do some traveling. I would like to construct a community centre for the youths in my community, so they can engage in something productive; somewhere where they can do information technology,” said Ms Gray to The Gleaner.

According to the Jamaica Star, Simone Clarke-Cooper, a representative of the company, noted that since Super Lotto started, winners have been wearing disguises to protect themselves.

First of all:

I always tell myself it’ll get easier watching other people win the lottery but it never does. Every time someone other than myself wins, a little piece of me dies. This one isn’t as bad as the twenty-year-old who won five-hunded-million but it still stings. At least it was in Jamaican money, which is essentially worthless. It sounds like she lived a real shitty life too so that helps. Saddled with debt and spending money on lottery tickets is as poor as it gets. I’ll give it two years until she’s broke again. Alright, I’m starting to feel better. Credit where credit is due, it is an A+ disguise.

The only problem is the massive check with her name on it. Pretty sure people are going to be able put two and two together, babe.

Also, why the winkie emoji? Seems like it would make more sense to go with the money face.

Maybe she didn’t want to rub it in? I don’t know. I’ll never understand why people claim their lottery tickets anonymously. Obviously, it’d be a huge pain in the ass dealing with everyone trying to get a piece of your winnings but isn’t that part of the fun? The whole point of being rich is showing off how much money you have. Besides, it’s not like people aren’t going to find out. I remember when Randy Moss was on the Patriots a reporter asked him what he thought about Brady’s outfit in a post game presser and his response was “you can’t hide money, mang.” This lady doesn’t have nearly as much money as Tom but the same rules apply. Best of luck to whoever this is. Don’t spent it all in one place.

PS: Every time I hear about someone getting rich overnight I think of this Jim Carrey clip. Too good.
