Dwyane Wade Needs To Retire Right This Second In Order To Be The Hero We Need
[Bloomberg] - I definitely want to be a part of ownership in the NBA. I’m not going to try to buy a team. I don’t have that kind of bread, but I definitely want to be a part of a great ownership group. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is all about players being involved in an ownership capacity. You’ve got players like Grant Hill involved in the Atlanta Hawks. Shaquille O’Neal is involved in the Sacramento Kings. It’s definitely something that I’ve talked about, some of my friends have talked about. But, first of all, I’d have to be retired. When that time comes?…
Which team do you want?
Seattle. I want Seattle’s team, the Sonics, to come back. I think Seattle is a great basketball town. I would love to be a part of that. But I’m open—if you know somebody?…
Retire right this second, Dwyane. We need this. Not only does Seattle need this, American needs this. It’s downright bullshit that the Seattle SuperSonics are no longer in our lives. We long for the days of Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton. We long even more for the days of these beauties:
This needs to be goal number 1 for Adam Silver. The NBA is better when we have a team in Seattle in the league. That’s just a fact. Plus we get to see an expansion draft and I’m here for shaking it all up. Sure, we have an even amount of teams right now, but let’s just add another team then. Let’s get weird and bring Vancouver back to the NBA.
We’ve already seen Ray Allen talk about wanting to bring back Seattle. We know an NHL franchise will be going there. We know that Adam Silver has talked about bringing an NBA team back there. Now let’s get enough people to join Allen and Wade to join and bring back Seattle. I’d be happy to be a member here if anyone is listening. Think about all the merch we could see and my only demand would be to be allowed in the war room during the NBA Draft.
So Wade and Ray, I know you’re reading this. Count me in. Let’s cook.
