Wake Up With Chan Ho Park Kicking Tim Belcher During A Game
Was watching random MLB fights the other night and totally forgot Chan Ho Park tried to round house kick Tim Belcher in 1999. What an outrageous move too, you can’t just go around throwing around round house kicks in the middle of a game!
Park is at the place with men on base, and he does what most pitchers do, he bunts. Angels pitcher, Tim Belcher, picks it up and routinely tags Park. He kind of wraps his arms around Park to slow himself down, nothing violent or malicious. It seems like Park thought differently. He chirps at Belcher and kind of shoves him in the chest, and then Belcher chirps back and motions to head back to the dugout. That’s when Park sends a forearm to the face of Belcher. Park then reaches deep into his bag of tricks and pulls out the Chuck Norris Roundhouse kick to the head. Belcher takes him down and seems to get some punches to land on Park’s face,
Chan Ho Park had apparently hit a few batters this game, so who knows if Belcher said something to him about that, but it seemed like a pretty harmless play. I still can’t get over the kick, he got him good with the knee to the head too. But maybe the most impressive thing from Chan Ho Park? He started a fight with Mo Vaughn just a few feet. The balls on Park to do that, wow.
Now this wasn’t the best baseball fight I’ve ever seen, but it was easily the funniest. I would pay decent money to see a pitcher in todays game kick someone.
PS. Chan Ho Park telling reporters that he had a bad game because of diarrhea is also a must watch video.
