The New York Mets Are Such A Disaster That The Team's Subreddit Is Now Devoted To The Metropolitan Museum Of Art

Welp there it is folks. The saeson is officially over. Finito Benito. Once a team’s actual fucking REDDIT PAGE can’t take anymore and cuncels da subredit before July hits, you know things are completely fucked. And it wasn’t a close vote either. More than 10,000 of the biggest Mets fans on the internet (92% upvoted) said they would rather talk about a museum of paintings than the 25-man pile of shit in Queens. It’s easier to bitch about artwork you don’t understand than explain how Mickey Callaway can bungle the bullpen for the 100th time this year.

Art snobs will argue with you for days about how paintings are actually worth millions of dollars. But not one person that has watched this season will be able to come up with a way that Jay Bruce is worth $39 million for 3 years. If I stare at a painting for 3 hours, I’m pretty sure I could understand what the artist was thinking. But I stare at the Mets for 3 hours a night for 6 months and I still cannot understand how Major League Baseball could allow the Wilpons to do what they have done to a big market franchise ever since Bernie Madoff went 1999 Roger Cedeno on their bank account.

I know that Subreddit will change back in a few hours or days. But they really shouldn’t change a thing until the Wilpons sell the team. Because nothing will change until that happens. Yeah the Mets fortunes may rise and fall over the years as they always have, but nothing will change at its core until the Wilpons sell. The PR disasters, the cheaping out on big talent, the years of darkness once they fall short during their World Series run. Everything. Just stick to talking about dead guy’s paintings and you can’t get hurt like Mets fans have been hurt over the years.
