BREAKING: Shooting At Widener University, Campus On Lockdown

CHESTER, Pa., (CBS) – Chopper 3 over the scene of a reported shooting on the campus of Widener University. It happened shortly before 9 p.m. Monday near the Schwartz Athletic Center in Chester, Delaware County. Chester Police tell CBS 3 a Widener student was shot on campus. Police say the gunman is still at large. Widener University is urging students to stay inside until further notice. A message on the university’s website reads: “An individual has been shot in the vicinity of Schwartz Athletic Center. His family has been notified and is with the student at this time. We are not releasing the name of the injured student at this time. Please stay indoors until further notice. Continue to check Campus Cruiser for details.” The student’s condition is unknown at this time. There is no further information on the circumstances of the shooting.
