This Year Antonio Brown Arrived At Steelers Training Camp In A Goddamn Helicopter
So this is apparently going to become a thing now for Antonio Brown, huh? Last year, a few months after he signed his huge contract extension with the Steelers, Brown unleashed his inner Big Baller and showed up to training camp in a 1931 Rolls Royce Phantom driven by a fucking chauffeur.
So what do you do when you have to one-up arriving in a Phantom and have almost $17 million coming to you for this season of hard work along with that Madden cover money? Take the friendly skies in a helicopter and let the other peasants competing for a roster spot arrive via ground transportation. I imagine next season Antonio will show up in a private jet that lands on the 50 yard line of the team’s practice field next training camp followed by AB flying one of Elon Musk’s SpaceX rockets in 2020 and the hoverboard from Back To The Future II no matter how many millions it may cost him. Because once you go from a 1931 Phantom to a helicopter, you are in the endgame and can never go back to arriving in vehicles that normal people ride in. If you are going to end up on the the 30 For 30 sequel of Broke, you might as well literally fly as close to the sun as humanly possible before your proverbial wings burn off.
Meanwhile this is how I imagine Le’Veon Bell reacted to seeing Antonio Brown showing off that superstar guaranteed contract money as Bell gets ready to play under the franchise tag yet again this season.
