The DaVinci Load
Morning.
If you can get near a radio, I am starting hour number 2 of Barstool Breakfast with Willie Colon… I am co-hosting today, Wednesday and Friday of this week.
No real segue into this morning’s topic, so I will start with a question: Did you know that Leonardo da Vinci was tried for, and later acquited of, the sodomy of a male prostitute sometime in the late 1400’s?
Well, neither did I. And what’s funny is that everyone would have known this little tidbit if it were Leonardo DiCaprio and not Leonardo da Vinci… Which makes sense because one is the archetype renaissance man, whose unquenchable curiosity was equaled only by his powers of invention, and the other was Leonardo da Vinci.
And I’m not trying to “out” LdV… Personally, I couldn’t care less if he blew his way through Florence. I just think it’s a reflection of my own cultural ignorance that I know exactly who’s been eating Gilbert Grape for the past twenty years or so (Giselle, Bar Rafaeli, etc…), but I know very little about the man who not only created the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, but also set the groundwork in fields like anatomy, civil engineering, optics, and hydrodynamics.
He also drew a sketch now referred to as The Burlington House Cartoon…
… where, in the right light, a young Jesus’s arm looks like a penis resting under a young John The Baptist’s chin.
Scandalous!
As luck would have it, DiCaprio is actually slated to play the historical sodomite DaVinci in a biopic slated for late 2019/early 2020 release, and (just so you’re up to date on Leo’s resumé) in the meantime, the 43 year-old DiCaprio will fill up his free time by banging 20 year-old actress, Camila Morrone.
AND to show just how far Morrone’s sexy gold-digging apple did not fall from the tree, Morrone’s mom is 41 year-old actress, Lucila Solá, who is dating 77 year-old former actor/now laughingstock, Al Pacino.
To put that into perspective, Solá’s dad is a very old and accomplished attorney in Argentina, who is also 3 years younger than Al Pacino.
Old guys dating kids, and John the Baptist getting tea bagged… Happy Monday, everyone.
