The Atlanta Hawks Sent Carmelo Anthony His Hawks Jersey To Go Along With The $25.5 Million Buyout They Gave Him

#7MAOOOOOOOO. What a life Carmelo Anthony lives. As if finessing three different teams out of tens of millions of dollars over the last three years and being paid $25.5 million to not play for the Hawks this season wasn’t impressive enough, the Hawks sent him his own jersey to commemorate the 5 days that were the Carmelo Anthony Era in Atlanta as the cherry on top. True king shit. Yeah we can lament that the return of Number 15 Melo could have made Carmelo Anthony great again. But it’s probably too little, too late and it would have killed the #StayMe7o brand that has taken the internet by storm. Instead #Me7o will head to Houston, grab Joe Johnson’s old number 7 (Clint Capela is 15), and probably cause Mike D’Antoni to lose his fucking marbles again.

You know what the best part of all this is though? There is no doubt in my mind that Carmelo Anthony is just going to turn around and sell that jersey for a hefty profit to some crazy collector. Carmelo Anthony doesn’t get sentimental about anything. It’s all strictly business to him. All Carmelo Anthony does is win*, cash checks, and #StayMe7o. Not a bad life from where I’m standing. Yeah he may not be the player you want on your team if the goal is to go far in the playoffs and potentially win a championship. But if you measure wins by the numbers in your bank account and the life you can afford to live instead of wins in a pro basketball league that in the end really don’t mean shit unless they end with a ring, Carmelo Anthony stays winning. #StayMe7o indeed.
