Mychal Kendricks Takes Pot Shots At Eagles Players, Immediately Gets Charged With Insider Trading
Philly – Federal authorities have charged former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks with insider trading tied to investments he made four years ago, officials said Wednesday. U.S. Attorney William M. McSwain announced the charges at a news conference at his offices in Center City. Kendricks’ attorney, Michael Schwartz, said the linebacker, who now plays for the Cleveland Browns, is expected to plead guilty in the coming weeks. Prosecutors also charged TV writer Damilare Sonoiki with helping to facilitate Kendrick’s stock trades. Public records show that Sonoiki was a Goldman Sachs analyst.
Mychal Kendricks has been so out of line saying the Browns are better than the Eagles and talking smack on Zach Ertz and Super Bowl MVP that the Federal Government had to shut him down.
Let us know how Uncle Sam’s smoke smells. Gordon Gecko Kendricks over here thought he could one up the system with his Harvard Business Goldman Sachs buddy. NOT GOOD. Now, I have less than zero idea of how insider trading, SEC regulations, or life in general works. Is there a minimal jail time? Does Kendricks get suspended? What the fuck is an IRA and why am I going to die broke and alone for not having one? It seems as if Kendricks knew about what he was doing, yet has apologized and has tried to make things right for a while. Also, by his words he didn’t profit from the scheme. No idea if that matters, but it’s an interesting tidbit.
At least Kendricks has fellow defenseman Carl Nassib, Malvern Prep’s finest, to rely on for financial advice. Talk about your next Warren Buffett. Interest, baby. Interest.
