I Stared Down Old Takes Exposed Over The Weekend And Won
So this happened yesterday during the madness of Tiger winning. I stared down Old Takes Exposed over the weekend and won. It was domination. It didn’t feel as good as watching Tiger win but it was a close second. For those of you that don’t know, Old Take Exposed is a Twitter account that digs up people’s old takes and exposes them down the line (hence the name Old Takes Exposed). It’s a good Twitter bit that people seem to enjoy because everybody loves seeing other people get exposed for their insane proclamations.
Well early on during Tiger’s round on Saturday at East Lake I boldly claimed that the tournament was over and that he was going to win. He birdied the first hole and it was then that I knew he was going to win so I tweeted it out to the world. People then started tagging Old Take Exposed under my tweet to try and scare me off my stance. Well I refused to be scared. I refused to be bullied by a Twitter account that makes it’s hay bullying people for having confident takes. So I doubled down and told people to keep tagging Old Takes Exposed. I dared people. That’s how confident I was in my guy Tiger Woods. Old Takes Exposed even tried to talk me off a ledge saying people would never forgive me if Tiger choked away the tournament. I didn’t care. I rebuffed Old Takes Exposed and said their services would not be necessary and I was right.
I’m writing this blog to tell people that it’s okay to believe in something. Let your bold takes fly regardless of the potential consequences. Don’t let a Twitter account stop you from saying what’s in your heart. I believed in my heart of hearts on Saturday that Tiger Woods was going to be the winner come Sunday. I chose to believe.
