Recapping The Ottawa Senators Halloween Party And Their Costumes From Last Night

NHL: OCT 15 Stars at Senators

Professional athletes always have the best Halloween costumes. I don’t know how or why but they do. It’s just a fact. My guess is that they have the money to buy whatever they want, so they do just that. I feel like the WAGs have a lot to do with it too. Girls are 10x more creative when it comes to Halloween costumes than guys, everyone knows that. The latest group of professional athletes to display some A+ Halloween costumes were the Ottawa Senators, who put on a show last night.

So let’s break them down. First, we need to start with the best costume. Shake n’ Bake with Brady Tkachuk and Mark Stone. Tkachuk as Cal Naughton Jr. and Stone as Ricky Bobby. I mean, I’ve seen more creative stuff, not going to lie. But the fact that Brady Tkachuk looks like John C. Reilly and gets a ton of shit for it makes this 10x better. This is unbelievable. The fact they got Stone’s girlfriend to be Carley is awesome too. Overall rating- 9/10.

Next, we have Max Lajoie and Alex Formenton dressed has a donkey or a horse. I can’t really tell. Great costume for Instagram, maybe the best of the night. But trying to enjoy a Halloween party in a horse costume cannot be fun. Especially if you are the ass. My guy lajoey coming through with a great costume though. Overall rating- 8/10

Cody Cecci and his girlfriend went as Steve Irwin and an alligator and I have a few questions and concerns about this costume. 1st off, can’t be doing the Australian accent all night. I hate when people dress up and play the roll too much. Like we get it, you are Steve Irwin, I’m not trying to listen to you put on a shitty Australian accent for the whole night. Overall rating with the accent- 4/10…..without the accent- 6/10.

Took me a while to figure out what the fuck this was. Apparently it has something to do with Fortnite. No time for Fortnite for this guy, too busy trying to get our lovely Canadian listeners cheaper shipping to their lovely country and believe me, it is coming. Any who, we got Chris Tierney, Colin “Rat Rink” White, Thomas Chabot, and Magnus Paajarvi dressed as these pink bear things from Fornite. Am I an idiot for just not understanding this at all? There is nothing worse than taking the time and money to get an awesome costume and everyone asking you what you are. Potential night ruiner. Overall ranking- 3/10.

As we get closer and closer to Halloween, I’d say I’m looking forward to all the NHL players posting their Halloween costumes but I’m not. Their costumes are so much better than whatever I could think of/afford that it makes me want to pretend Halloween doesn’t even exist. You can basically guarantee I’ll be wearing the knock off version of something posted.

Or maybe I’ll just go as Rear Admiral. That’d be a hit.
