Kaitlyn Bristowe And Shawn Booth Have Called It Quits After Three Years
People- The couple, who got engaged on the season 19 finale of The Bachelorette in 2015, announced the news in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.
“After three incredible years, we have decided to go our separate ways. This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration. Even though we are parting as a couple, we’re very much committed to remaining friends. We have both evolved as people, which is taking us in different directions, but with the hope that we will continue to support each other in new ways. Due to the nature of how we met, our relationship has always been very public, and we have enjoyed sharing it with all of you, but we ask that you respect our decision and our privacy at this time.”
Bad news Bachelor Nation. Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth have split. It seems like these two have been on the rocks for months. In August Kaitlyn addressed break up rumors on her podcast Off The Vine and made it seem like they were working through some issues. Kaitlyn was traveling a lot and Shawn was building his own business in Nashville.
“You are both always away, you’re exhausted at the end of the day, sometimes the relationship isn’t being put first, but does that mean you call it quits? No,” she said. “You love the s— out of each other and you work through it — and yourselves to be better. And you know that times aren’t always going to be smooth sailing.”
After she said that I really had faith these two were going to work it out but it seems like it just wasn’t in the cards. I’m so sad for both of them. Kaitlyn seems like the coolest and from what I’ve heard from people who know her, she really is. I was really looking forward to these two making it down the aisle. After they passed like the two year mark I thought I wouldn’t have to worry about them sticking it out.
Worst part of this, Kaitlyn is very attached to Shawn’s dog Tucker. He is an adorable golden retriever and is featured on Kaitlyn’s Instagram a ton. They call him Doodle. I hope Kaitlyn gets visitation rights. A breakup is way tougher with a dog child involved.
The Doodle/Kaitlyn content on social media will be greatly missed. I’m sure we will get a full breakdown on Kaitlyn’s podcast but for now we’ve lost a good one.
