A Family Affair: Kelly Ripa Is Guest Starring On Riverdale

ET- The TV star will be appearing as Hiram Lodge’s mistress, Mrs. Mulwray, in an upcoming episode of the CW drama, starring opposite her real-life husband, Mark Consuelos, ET can confirm.

“Confident and tough… she’s a beautiful, icy, femme fatale who gets caught up in a conspiracy that’s much bigger than she initially realized,” reads a character description for the role.

OHHHH YES. Kelly Ripa is joining the cast of Riverdale as Hiram Lodge’s (played by her husband Mark Consuelos) mistress. Kelly and Mark have been married for 22 years. It’s a Hollywood miracle when any marriage lasts more than ten years. I hate using goals to describe couples but……goals.

Who better to have hot, steamy chemistry with Hiram than his real life wife. It will literally be steaming off our televisions. These two do not hold back on the PDA and love reminding everyone of their love on Instagram. This is also a great direction for Riverdale to go in for that character. If you’re up to date….

Everyone hates Hiram. He’s currently in the middle of taking down Archie and keeping him in prison forever. Even his own daughter hates him. Of course he had/has a mistress. And she’s someone who, “gets caught up in a conspiracy that’s much bigger than she initially realized.” I’m hoping Kelly gets more than one episode? But I feel like this might be a flashback situation. If so….bring her to the present. She deserves a reoccuring role. I don’t know how Kelly would make that work with her morning show but a girl can dream. I can’t wait to tune in.

And to top it all off…their son Michael is making his Riverdale debut tonight, appearing as a young Hiram. Obviously there is some family resemblance.
