James Cordon And Migos Doing Carpool Karaoke Is So Fucking Great
Edit: This is a blog I wrote a little while ago but I’m bumping it back up. KMarko and I were talking about how hilarious this edition was. The use of the slide whistle at the end was chef kiss worthy. Just perfect. Skirt skirt.
Do people still like these? I like these. I feel like the Migos should do an entire album where they cover just the whitest songs in existence. Sweet Caroline was a hell of a start. I need more, though. I’d love them to cover my favorite Frank Sinatra song of all time. That’s right. Send in the Clowns.
Send in the clowns is such a great song. It’s a song written by Stephen Sondheim for the 1973 musical A Little Night Music, an adaptation of Ingmar Bergman’s film Smiles of a Summer Night. It is a ballad from Act Two, in which the character Desirée reflects on the ironies and disappointments of her life like divorce and unreturned love. They even touch on affairs.
Life sometimes is tough. People act like you should wear those disappointments with a smile. Send in the clowns suggests that occassionally things are just too painful to Send in the Clowns.
A few skeet skeets, cash, or other ad libs could really make Send in the Clowns return to the top of charts.
“Chaps. Love the song. Too dark for the Migos though. Any other Frank classic that’d you like other than Send in the Clowns?”
The Girl From Ipanema wouldnt be bad. The concert version though.
Yeah. That’d work.
