The Internet Is BUZZING Over This UCLA Girl And Her Electric Floor Routine
Yeah yeah yeah I know football is on right now so it seems like a weird time to blog anything not related to football but this girl’s floor routine kept popping up on my Twitter feed so I had to address it. The girl’s name is Katelyn Ohashi, she goes to UCLA and she just stole America’s heart. I ignored it at first because ain’t nobody got time for that on a playoff Sunday but then I watched it and HOLY SHIT. That was AWESOME. Electric doesn’t come close to explaining what happened there. I felt every emotion. I laughed. I cried. I got a little turned on. All over the course of two spectacular minutes.
To be fair, I haven’t watched anything gymnastics-related since whenever the last Olympics were so what that chick did could be par for the course but I doubt it. There’s a reason her routine was picked up by every major sports media outlet and why the people in attendance were falling outta their chairs as it happened. Even the other gymnasts sitting around the mat couldn’t believe what they were witnessing. It was like The Beatles on the the Ed Sullivan Show all over again. Katelyn did things in that routine that I didn’t even know were possible. I tore my groin clean off the bone just watching her bounce from the splits to standing position. Incredible stuff.
