HBO Dropped Another Game Of Thrones Teaser Last Night, This Time With A Season Premiere Date

Another week, another Thrones teaser dropping from the fucking clouds after a wild football game. This time we hear Cat Stark talking about how she was pretty much the worst human in all of Westeros to a “bastard” child her husband brought back from battle and how that cursed the Stark clan to being down to 3.5 as we enter the final season while Ned hits us with a classic Obi-Wan “What I told you was true, from a certain point of view” quote. Now as a diehard, I feel like seeing Jon and Arya together kinda robbed us of seeing the reunion we have been hoping and waiting for. But as a diehard, I am also telling myself to shut the fuck up nerd, this is only a teaser and there are clearly bigger things to worry about, like Jon, Sansa, and Arya having their own tombs in the Winterfell crypt as the White Walkers appear to turn the AC on full blast with that Chekhov’s raven’s feather (maybe this is a Bran vision?) laying on the ground. I also want to know if Bran is going to be the one to tell Jon that he’s fucking his auntie.

I’ll have to rewatch this about 1000 more times until we get an actual commercial, but April 14th it is and it cannot get here soon enough. I think I am going to map it out and try to binge one episode of Thrones a night every night starting in mid-February, which will lead me right into the premiere. I did it before the final season of The Sopranos and it was great since I was fresh on everything that happened without those Previously On videos that sometimes telegraph what’s going to happen in the episode. Maybe I’ll blog a recap or do some sort of video before, during, or after watching it as well for anybody that wants to rewatch or watch for their first time. Or maybe I won’t be able to do any of this because I have two little kids that own my soul at night os well as the morning. But I just ended my last blog saying how the thought of no football in my life left an emptiness in my soul. But I forgot Thrones is there to fill that hole come April or maybe even earlier if I do this rewatch marathon. Lets all just hope the world doesn’t blow up until after the series finale.

Now just need to young kids to give me an hour of freedom and the energy to stay awake for 67 nights straight!

UPDATE 2: I’m a fucking idiot, but you guys already knew that.

This is the kind of stuff a marathon rewatch should help fix so nothing goes forgotten in the final season.

UPDATE 3: Maybe the reason Bran wasn’t shown in this teaser is because he’s the Night King?

You know Thrones is coming back once those rumors start back up again. I didn’t believe that rumor before last night and I don’t believe they would spoil that HUMONGOUS twist during a teaser.

Anyway, the #Branwagon has left the station. Hope none of you guys that decided not to hop on last season don’t get run over by it.
