Eddie Barstool Giving Rides in -50 Degree Temperatures is the Living Embodiment of "Units Respect Units"
I’ve watched this video no less than 73 times and have yet to get all the way thru it without at least a faint tear rolling down my cheek. I wake up and get out of bed every morning preaching the Unit gospel and spreading the word of the holy (Fa)testament. Fighting the good fight to try and show the world the special bond their is between fellow units.
Eddie being the great guy he is was driving all over Chicago in -50 degree temperatures to offer rides to strangers so they could stay warm and not have to wait for the bus. When I saw these videos it was as if god tapped me on the shoulder and said “keep going”. Progress for the fat community is what we aim for day by day and Eddie might as well have been the first fat man on the moon with his heroic actions yesterday. What we saw was Love. That was Unit Love.
Michael was a textbook Unit. He was even wearing just a sweatshirt when it was -50 degrees outside. That’s some Unit behavior if I’ve ever seen it. You think that Unit (Michael) isn’t street savvy enough to understand that he shouldn’t take a ride from a stranger? Of course he is! But when he looked in the eyes of the man driving that car he saw one thing. He saw trust. He looked Eddie dead in the windows of his soul saw a man that he knew was there for no other reason but to lend a helping a hand from one large man to another. It’s something you can’t explain. Unit on unit love is an unspoken respect. You look a man in his eyes and you see someone who walks in similar shoes. So Michael took that ride to White Castle. As they drove they conversed about their favorite items on the menu. Just fat guys being fat dudes. Units being Units. Just a couple husky gentleman diving into discussion over the classic White Castle burger vs the more new age chicken ring. Both very strong options in my opinion. It was a beautiful site to see. Cheers Eddie Barstool, you’re a hero to fat guys all over the globe. #UnitsRespectUnits
