If You Think Cain Velasquez Is Afraid Of Being Hit In The Face By A Ford Escort, You Got Another Thing Coming
This Sunday night, heavyweight legend Cain Velasquez will step into the cage for the first time in almost three years in the main event of the very first UFC on ESPN card, and he ain’t getting no tune up fight in his return. Instead, he was matched up with rising heavyweight prospect Francis “The Predator” Ngannou, who takes motherfuckers heads off like none other in recent history…
In fact, Dana White claims that Ngannou currently holds the world record for the “most powerful punch” on the planet, clocking in at 96 horsepower – the equivalent of getting hit by a Ford Escort at full speed, or a 12lb sledgehammer swung full force from overhead. Seriously.
In his own words…“Holy shit.”
Cain ain’t scared though, as you could clearly see in the clip above. Not at all. In fact, he says, “Ford Escorts suck. They’re weak.”
Personally, I feel like if I were hit by a Ford Escort at full speed, I wouldn’t find them weak…I’d just die, but this isn’t me we’re talking about.
This is Cain fucking Velasquez. This is the man with the heavyweight division’s most ever knockouts AND most ever takedowns. This is a former two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion of the World, who reigned a combined 1281 days at the top. This is the man who knocked out Brock Lesnar, Junior dos Santos, Big Nog, Bigfoot, and many others. This is one of the greatest to ever do it.
This weekend can’t get here soon enough. Cain/Ngannou, MVP/Daley, Kron Gracie’s UFC debut, and two full slates of phenomenal undercard fights. I can’t wait.
