The Bryce Drew/Astronaut Axe Commercial Is One Of My Favorite Commercials Of All Time

You know what I’ve realized about myself recently? I’m a big time commercials guy. I love em. The AT&T kids commercials, the Dick Sporting Goods campaign, this Astronaut. Fuck DVR. If I wasn’t a blogger I think I’d go become a commercial maker or something. Actually I’m probably not creative enough to make them. I just wanna be a commercial rater. Tell you which ones are awesome and which ones suck.

This idea with the astronaut though could literally be an endless campaign for Axe. You could do this with all the greatest sports moments ever and people would eat it up every single time. Personally I’d like to see Jack Buck’s “I Don’t Believe What I Just Saw.” Have the Astronaut interrupt him right in the middle of that legendary catch phrase. Or maybe Hank Aaron’s record breaking home run and the hippie who ran on to the field goes over the the Astronaut and pats him on the back instead of Hank Aaron running the bases. That would be a fucking great one. I hope Axe is reading this. I’m like Miles Finch from Elf except instead of childrens books I’m a commercial guru.
