Terry Rozier Says That Joel Embiid Is "Lame", Which He Isn't Necessarily Lying About

(turn off AdBlock if the video isn’t playing for you on desktop)

Terry Rozier is very good at a couple of things. The first being that he’s very good at averaging single digit points per game. While we’re on the subject of talking about things that are lame, it feels necessary to include that in there. And the second thing he’s very good at is being incredibly literal with his impeccable grasp on the English language. Because in case you didn’t know, the definition of lame is “unable to walk normally because of an injury or illness affecting the leg or foot”.

So is Joel Embiid “lame”? I mean if you look back on his injury history since coming into the NBA, yes, there have certainly been moments throughout his career so far when Joel Embiid could have been considered “lame”. Now if we’re talking about the more colloquial definition of “lame” meaning that Joel Embiid is a nerd or a square or something to that extent, well then that would make Terry Rozier the biggest liar in the NBA. Is there anything lame about this?

Didn’t think so. And while we’re on the subject of Terry Rozier being a big fat liar, how about this shit?

How about game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals last year? Or January 18, 2018? March 19, 2017? Or what about 3/4 regular season games in 2013-14? I mean I understand that the Celtics have been dominating the rivalry against the Sixers for the past few years now. So much so that Joel Embiid has even said that it’s hard to consider it a rivalry when the one team keeps constantly winning. But to say that Philly hasn’t beaten the Celtics since AI was in town? That is just simply not true.

So that’s two straight up lies from Terry Rozier, unless he was talking about Embiid being lame in a medical sense. Kind of makes you question the character of a man who has such little regard for the truth.
