Italian Politician And Leading Anti-Vax Figure Is Hospitalized...With Chickenpox

ITALY – A leading anti-vax figure and Italian politician was hospitalized with chickenpox earlier this week. Massimiliano Fedriga, who is the president of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region and member of the right-wing Northern League party, revealed he was ill on Twitter. He previously argued against the Lorenzin decree, which made vaccination compulsory for children before they could attend school, back in 2017. At the time, he said that he had his own children vaccinated but believed it should not be forced on to people, reports La Vanguardia. He also claimed that making the 10 vaccinations, which include polio and measles, mandatory was not the best method to convince anti-vaxxers. Prominent microbiologist Roberto Burioni shared the news about Mr Fedriga’s chickenpox on Twitter, saying it helpfully brought up the topic of vaccinations in adults. Many social media users then mocked Mr Fedriga for catching the highly-contagious infection, which can be deadly in adults, after arguing against vaccines.

Whoops! Me scuzi, Massimiliano! Ain’t no fun when reality’s got the gun! I suppose this politician is catering to the Dwight Schrute “The world needs another plague” crowd. Whatever wins the election, I suppose. If that’s the case then screw Chickenpox, we need to up the ante. Shingles won’t even be enough until Mr. Fedriga suffers from it and all of a sudden decides vaccinations are a swell idea. Nope. We need a gamechanger. Everyone hop onto the Polio Express. Next Stop: Smallpox! Right off the blankets! That’ll teach everyone that nobody was right.

Of all the outright idiotic causes in the world to needlessly rebel against, the anti-vaccination movement may be the most batshit. It’s just plain stupid. EVERY SINGLE study/real life example has concluded vaccines contribute no harm whatsoever. But more importantly, even if they did harm kids in the very rare occasion (which they don’t), they would still save a shit load more lives than anything else. I don’t get it. I, for one, was thankful to grow up not having to worry if Polio was going to paralyze my dick off at any given moment. Remember Smallpox? The killer that lived on blankets that could wipe out entire civilizations? Of course you don’t. That’s because vaccines eradicated the disease from existence. Now it has a slight chance of coming back because there are assholes out there who think they’re cute defying mankind’s scientific progress. Just because Jenny McCarthy was once a Goddess of a Smoke it doesn’t make her an expert on hundreds of years of medicine. Figure it out, humanity.

Don’t understand how stupid of an issue this really is? This quick video should basically sum it up even for the greatest simpleton like myself:

Oh and this logical application of math and science:
